New Avenue towards Historical Instruments
I’m so happy to share that I’ve been accepted to the Conservatoire National SupĂ©rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris to study historical performance and fortepiano.
The fortepiano has become an instrument where I feel I can find real expressive freedom, spontaneity, and a richness of color that varies so much from one instrument to the next. What fascinates me in the historical approach is its inherent vocal flexibility, a quality I find echoed in the playing of early 20th-century pianists, whose freedom seems to me to be deeply rooted in much older performance traditions. I am excited that this path will not only deepen my historical knowledge but also enrich my playing as a whole.
